TraFi Aviation - Finnish Civil Aviation Authority Statistics

Statistics

As specified in the Statistics Act, the Government statistics services include Statistics Finland as a general authority in the field, as well as various ministries and their subordinated agencies and institutions. All of these compile statistics on their own sector for public use.

The Finnish Civil Aviation Authority is one of the authorities compiling statistics. At present, statistics are available on:
  • aircraft registered in Finland
  • aviation medical certificates
  • airworthiness and maintenance oversight
  • aviation accidents
  • number of licences, training permits and training approvals
  • flight operations, such as flight hours and the oversight of air operators and training.

Statistics on passenger numbers, landings and freight and mail volumes can be found on Finavia's website http://www.finavia.fi/trafficstatistics.
