Instructions for converting maintenance mechanic licences
into Part 66 licences
Finland will begin converting maintenance mechanic licences into Part 66 aircraft maintenance licences in accordance with the European Aviation Safety Agency, EASA, requirements on 28 September 2005. The aircraft maintenance licences are governed by Annex III to EU Commission Regulation (EC) No 2042/2003, also known as Part 66. These pages contain information and advice for the conversion of a national maintenance mechanic licence into a corresponding Part 66 licence. Applications for converting national or JAR-66 licences into Part 66 licences must be submitted to the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority, using EASA Form 19 (pdf). Before filling the form, please, read the instructions. The Finnish Civil Aviation Authority has an e-mail address for questions on Part 66 licences and the conversion process.
