The European Union has no single basic rule on aviation, but the legislation is composed of several parts. All EU legislation can be found on the EU website in all official languages of the Union. The following link leads to the air transport section of the EUR-LEX directory, and other links to relevant EU legislation are given on the CAA web pages for different topics. EU regulations are binding and directly applicable in Finland.
 
EU legislation on flight safety issues can also be found on the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) website.
 
Moreover, the European Commission has published a European Civil Aviation Handbook, which also contains examples of case law.
