Contact details of Authorised Medical Examiners

In Finland, the network of aviation medical examiners consists of two Aeromedical Centres (AMC) and almost 60 Authorised Medical Examiners (AME) throughout the country. The aeromedical centres are the Central Military Hospital, Research Institute of Military Medicine, Department of Aviation Medicine, which is located in Meilahti Hospital area in Helsinki (unit: Biomedicum Helsinki 2, address: Tukholmankatu 8 A, 00290 Helsinki), and Finnair Health Services at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (address: Lentäjäntie 1, 01053 Finnair). The AMCs carry out initial medical examinations of airline transport pilots and commercial pilots. Other initial, renewal and revalidation examinations for medical certificates may be carried out at an aeromedical centre or by an authorised medical examiner.

Authorisations for AMEs working in Finland are granted by the Finnish Transport Safety Agency's Aeromedical Section. The list of authorised medical examiners and their contact details (pdf) is continuously kept up to date.
