Flight operations oversight Aviation Violations
Compliance with aviation regulations
As an authority supervising aviation, the Finnish Transport Safety Agency's Aviation Sector is responsible for taking action when an aviator fails to comply with rules and regulations concerning aviation. Any violations against aviation regulations committed by licence or certificate holders are examined and, where necessary, appropriate sanctions imposed with regard to the gravity of the offence. Most typical aviation violations include unauthorised flights within restricted or danger areas, flying into controlled airspace without clearance, failures to comply with ATC clearances, unauthorised commercial operations, weather minima infringements, flying without valid licence or rating, and neglecting aircraft annual inspections.
