ATCO licences and FISO certificates of competence


Air traffic controllers and flight information service officers are trained at the Finavia's own training
unit, Avia College. More information on air traffic controller’s and flight information service officer’s
duties is available on Avia College’s website.

After successful completion of the training, the Finnish Transport Safety Agency issues the student with
an Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) licence or a Flight Information Service Officer (FISO) certificate of competence.
