Turkey - Finland - Air Services Agreement


The Finland - Turkey Air Services Agreement was signed in 1975 and it is in force. Active negotiations (horizontal mandate) between the Community and Turkey are being pursued.

Designation principles

Single designation. A designation may be refused if one Party is not satisfied that substantial ownership
and effective control of a designated airline are vested in the Party designating the airline or in its nationals.

Traffic rights for the designated airline of Finland

Route possibilities: Points in Finland - Intermediate points - Istanbul - Points beyond. Fifth freedom rights are granted and may be exercised at Constanta, Varna and Cairo.

Capacity regime

Bermuda principles. Traffic programmes shall be submitted for approval.

Tariff regime

Double approval. Tacit approval if no response within 30 days after the date of filing
