Canada - Finland - Air Services Agreement


The Finland - Canada Air Services Agreement in force was signed in 1990 and amended in 1999.

Designation principles

Multiple designation. A designation may be refused if one Party is not satisfied that substantial ownership
and effective control of a designated airline are vested in the Party designating the airline or in its
nationals.

Traffic rights for designated airlines of Finland

Route possibilities: Any point(s) in Finland - One point in Europe to be named by Finland - Montreal and Toronto (may be served on the same flight or separately) - One point beyond to be named by Finland. Fifth freedom rights at any intermediate or beyond point are not granted. Certain unused traffic rights are presently available.

Capacity regime

Bermuda principles. Frequencies and type of aircraft are subject to the approval of the aeronautical authorities.

Tariff regime

Filing may be required, but a proposed tariff shall come into effect unless the aeronautical authorities of both Parties agree that a proposed tariff is inconsistent with the principles set out in the tariff article.
