Azerbaijan - Finland - Air Services Agreement


The Finland - Azerbaijan Air Services Agreement was initialled in September 2000. It has not been signed. Although the Agreement has not entered into force, it is applied provisionally.

Designation principles

Multiple designation in principle, but the designation of more than one airline must be agreed in advance between the aeronautical authorities. A designation may be refused if one Party is not satisfied that a designated airline is incorporated and has its principal place of business in the territory of designating Party, and holds a current Air Operator´s Certificate issued by the aeronautical authority of the designating Party.

Traffic rights for designated airlines of Finland

Route possibilities: Points in Finland - Intermediate points - Points in Azerbaijan - Points beyond. Fifth freedom rights may be used only to the extent this is separately agreed by the aeronautical authorities. Un-used traffic rights are presently available.

Capacity regime

Bermuda principles apply. Traffic programmes shall be submitted for approval.

Tariff regime

Double approval. Tacit approval if no response within 20 days after the date of filing.
