United Arab Emirates - Finland - Air Services Agreement


The Finland - United Arab Emirates Air Services Agreement was initialled in April 2004. The
Agreement has not yet been signed. Pending its entry into force the principles of the Agreement
are provisionally applied.

Designation principles

Multiple designation. Community designation clause.

Traffic rights for designated airlines of Finland

Route possibilities: Any points in Finland - Any intermediate points - Any points in the United Arab Emirates - Any points beyond. 5th freedom rights may, at any given time, be exercised at up to two intermediate points and/or at up to two beyond points. Unused traffic rights are available.

Capacity regime

Designated airlines may freely determine capacity to be provided.

Tariff regime

Tariffs may be established by designated airlines based on commercial considerations in the marketplace. Intervention possibilities by authorities are limited to the prevention of unreasonably discriminatory tariffs or practices, protecting consumers from tariffs that are unreasonably high or restrictive due to abuse of a dominant position, and protecting airlines from tariffs that are artificially low due to direct or indirect governmental subsidy or support.
