Carriage of liquidsThe regulation restricts the quantity of liquids allowed to be taken into the cabin as hand baggage. Any liquids that a passenger intends to bring on board with him/her must be shown at security check. The regulation strives to prevent the threat of liquid explosives used for terrorism. The aim is to protect everyone travelling by air. What is meant by liquids?The definition of liquids in the regulation covers: e.g. liquid and viscous substances, gels, pastes and lotions, such as toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, gel lipstick, perfume, contact lens fluid, shaving foam and aerosols.
